EVF Performance
EVF Performance, on the Upper East Side and at Columbus Circle/West End, has become an acclaimed strength and conditioning and personal training based gym for adults and youth.
After 20 years in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and group instructor, Eric wanted to create a place where everyday people could change their bodies, push their limits and feel safe and motivated doing so.
EVF is founded on the following beliefs:
Everyone starts somewhere. Action dispels fear.
Health is a lifelong journey — fitness creates greater opportunity.
Through training, we learn perseverance, dedication, courage and sacrifice.
EVF Performance Upper East Side, June 2012
Our first EVF Performance location, home of CrossFit Upper East Side, opened its doors in June 2012. We started small — offering CrossFit and EVF 360, our signature all-levels conditioning program — with Eric teaching just about every class and countless free intro sessions.
Nearly 6 years later, our neighbors have become our friends and family, and EVF UES has expanded to offer CrossFit, indoor and outdoor EVF 360, kids programming, and specialized classes. Our thriving community supports the fitness of members of all ages, fitness levels and walks of life. Many members have been with us since year one.
EVF Performance Columbus Circle, march 2014
Our second EVF location opened in the West End neighborhood in March 2014 and shares its home with our first Row House studio. EVF CC boasts a large floor plan and was the first CrossFit gym in NYC to offer high-end amenities (and to be open on Sundays). EVF CC is at the center of a former industrial area that has become a revitalized, vibrant residential neighborhood. During the summer months, we walk just a block to the Hudson River to offer outdoor classes with a one-of-a-kind view.
Our members are a diverse mix of students from neighboring John Jay College of Criminal Justice, actors, theater performers, and midtown business professionals. Our intense, inclusive workouts bring together athletes of all walks of life into one EVF community.
Future Expansion
We plan to expand the EVF Performance Strength and Conditioning program and are exploring the right way to bring this successful brand and strong community to a wider audience.
