Row House
As working parents with three children, Eric and Debra created Row House with a specific objective: To give people of all different shapes, sizes, and abilities an efficient, effective high cardio, full body workout in an inclusive group environment — and one that builds bodies up instead of breaking them down.
Eric was an athlete across several sports and needed a workout that could build him up, not break him down. Debra needed an efficient and effective solution to get busy lifestyle — one where she could spend 45 minutes focused on herself and walk away feeling centered and strong.
Although the business plan was first written in 2008, Debra and Eric were often early on ideas. Deciding to wait for the industry to mature a bit before bringing Row House to fruition, Debra and Eric launched the first Row House studio launched in 2014 and the second in 2015. The brand has been coined the pioneer in rowing for fitness and has quickly gained global recognition. After 3.5 years running two Row House locations — as well as pop-ups in the Hamptons and on the Upper East Side — Eric and Debra have partnered with Xponential, to turn Row House into a global brand through a franchise-based expansion.
This partnership achieves the initial goal of Row House: To bring an amazing fitness solution to a wide population.
Row House Columbus Circle, March 2014
The first-ever Row House location launched just west of Columbus Circle in NYC. Four years later, the area is growing into a prime residential location, but people came from far and wide to experience Row House when there was no alternate solution.
Our original stomping grounds is a mix of residential and business consumers. This is a 25 erg, ground-level studio situated above our other brand, EVF Performance. We launched this studio knowing that if Row House didn't take off, we could stand on the legs of the EVF brand. Spoiler: It took off.
Row HOUSE CHELSEA, oCTOBER 2015
This centrally-located Row House studio opened less than 18 months after the original location in the heart of Chelsea. It was designed with a more developed sense of the Row House community's needs and boasts 30 ergs.
Down the block from Peloton, Orange Theory, Rumble and Y7, this studio has welcomed global visitors who are now pining to have Row House studios in their markets.
ROW HOUSE FRANCHISE EXPANSION, January 2018
Upon investment from Xponential Fitness, Row House is expanding via franchising. Row House studios are now open in Tustin, California; Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Chicago, Illinois; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Hilton Head, South Carolina; and College Station and Frisco, Texas. Another 25 studios are under construction, with more than 200 studios across the United States and Canada sold.

Row HOUSE E 34, September 2019
Our third location, in vibrant Midtown East, opened in September 2019.
Our 34th Street location, between 2nd and 3rd avenues, this location is located just blocks from NYC destinations like Grand Central Station and the United Nations Headquarters.
Our biggest claim to fame with this location has been the creation of a ground-breaking partnership with NYU Perlmutter Cancer Care; where we have been offering complimentary classes to patients pre, post, and during treatment for all cancer types.
Bridging the worlds of fitness and medicine is a key passion of ours; and a place we plan to spend more time in the future.
